ACADEMIC LEAGUE OF CLINICAL MEDICINE (LACLIMED): REPORT ON THE EXPERIENCE OF MEDICAL STUDENTS AT A UNIVERSITY IN THE NORTHWEST OF SÃO PAULO

Academic leagues in the medical course provide an advantage in the development of students, given the dynamic and active way in which the academics themselves plan and execute their activities. The objective of this work was to discuss the experiences lived in the Medical Clinic League (Laclimed), at the Centro Universitário de Santa Fé do Sul - Unifunec, in order to affirm the relevance of the participation of medical students in the extracurricular activities offered by the academic course, based on the principles of the university tripod: teaching, research and extension. This experience report has a descriptive and qualitative character. For its elaboration, 4 main activities were chosen, among those that were experienced by students of the Academic League of Clinical Medicine (Laclimed) during the academic period of the year 2023. The activities described involve fortnightly meetings, actions with the community, academic event and additional training. It was concluded that the existence of Academic Leagues contributes to the extracurricular training of medical students, by complementing the university workload, as it promotes the development of the hidden curriculum
