3 EVALUATION OF MANUSCRIPTS

a) Manuscripts undergo prior evaluation carried out by the editorial board, which verifies compliance with formal submission requirements, their suitability for editorial policy and their potential for publication. Articles that do not meet these requirements will not be submitted for evaluation by external reviewers and the authors will be notified of this decision by email from the editor;

b) If appropriate, similarity and plagiarism verification is carried out for the purposes of intellectual protection of previously published content using the iThenticate anti-plagiarism software;

c) After this stage, if accepted for submission, the texts are forwarded to ad hoc referees. The evaluation process occurs in a double-blind manner (double blind peer review). As guidance, reviewers receive an evaluation form containing a set of items that must be observed and provide guidance in the analysis of relevance and feasibility. This form contains questions that generally address the contribution of the article, its theoretical framework, the methodology used and its discussion. Reviewers can add aspects that eventually serve as academic and scientific substrate to the evaluation process;

d) Once the opinions are received, they are forwarded to the author of the text so that they can make the suggested modifications and forward them to the journal so that it can be evaluated again based on the changes made, or to be informed in the case of rejection or acceptance. In case of discrepancies or opinions with different guidelines, a third reviewer is called to issue a new opinion. After this decision, it is up to the Scientific Editorial Board to make a decision considering the analysis of the opinions. The Scientific Editorial Board has the final decision to approve (or not) the article, sending it to the following stages, aiming for its improvement and improvements for approval and final publication;

e) After the change requests established by the reviewers have been met, the article is reviewed by the Editorial Board and enters the editorial process in the different stages envisaged: text editing, editing and publication. The entire communication process with authors is done electronically.

Exceptionally, there may be invitations for publication, which will be formulated exclusively by the Editorial Board of the Journal.
